Hello Lovelies!
So, after spending what seems like hours looking at dresses I feel its time to take the plunge into actually trying them on.
I have taken the executive decision to not only go and try them on, but to go alone. Why? you may ask, well dear readers the reason is 3 fold...1) I have a very limited idea about what I like, so want to take my time perusing. 2) I want complete and total control of what I try and who I show. I feel like if I take everyone with me I'm going to have to try all these dresses on and show them off. I don't want to HAVE to do anything. 3) I don't need the opinions. If they don't like it, I don't want to know. I want to have 3 or 4 firm favourite dresses picked so that when I do eventually take them to look, I already know I love the dresses i'm showing them.
I feel like if I go first and know that I look amazing, then I will feel way more confident in myself. I will feel happier in my own skin and wont take any criticism straight to the heart.
In terms of actual dresses, I've realised there aren't that many for us curvy girls, or the ones that there are, are all sort of the same. Okay the neckline is different and the hemline might be different but there isn't the difference in style and fit that there is in the more standard sizes.
I've also noticed a distinct lack of shops for us to go to, and most only go up to a 24 which really is rubbish. I am a size 24ish because sometimes i can go all the way to a 30, so I am very apprehensive about going to stores and not having anything to try..
I have found one local shop that has one 26 and four 24's so I am hoping and praying these are big enough for me to try.
Keep everything crossed for me ladies!
much love xx
